If a shareholder is desirous of changing his name or address or bank details in the records of the company where he is holding shares or for doing the same for the joint holder(s) or the nominee, then he can do so by writing an application letter to the company with all the details along with the proof of name change, new address, bank cheque, etc.
Such a letter will have to be signed by the first holder of the shareholding. The shareholder will have to send the letter to the company directly or to its Registrar & Share Transfer Agent (RTA) if the company has appointed an RTA for these purposes.
