Letter format Bank account Transfer from one Branch to another

A person can make a request to his bank, where he maintains an account, for transfer of his account from one branch of the bank to another.

An organisation may also make such a request in case of change of location of its registered office, corporate office or branch office. Generally, the organisations maintain bank accounts separately for their branch offices.

Here are two templates of letters for requesting the bank to transfer the existing account to another branch of the same bank.

I am presently having a savings account bearing number ___________ with your bank's ________ branch. I would like to inform you that I have recently relocated to (City's name) along with my family due to transfer of my job. 

I would be obliged if you can please transfer my account maintained with your branch to your bank's ________ branch. This would ease the maintenance of the account at my end. Appropriate charges may kindly be debited from my account in this regard for transfer of the account. 

I am enclosing herewith a copy of the Leave and License Agreement of my current residence and a self-attested copy of my PAN card for your records and verification purposes.

Kindly do the needful.

The same was further approved by a resolution passed in the general meeting of the shareholders dated ________.

Therefore, we kindly request your goodself to transfer our company's current account maintained with your branch office to the ________ branch office. Appropriate charges may kindly be debited from our account. 

We are enclosing herewith a copy of the board resolution and a copy of the shareholders' meeting resolution for your information and records.

Kindly do the needful and oblige.
